The Breast Cancer Research Foundation has received international recognition as the highest rated breast cancer organization in the United States, receiving both an A+ rating from Charity Watch and 4/4 stars from Charity Navigator. 

With over 200 researchers in 6 continents and 13 countries, BCRF has raised over $560 million dollars for breast cancer research - cementing BCRF as the largest private funder of breast cancer research in the world. 

 

Cancer Divides, We Unite

We began working with BCRF in 2014 to modernize their digital marketing strategy by creating mission-driven content that connects their audience directly to the critical research BCRF supports.

After driving a 74% increase in email donations between 2014-15, we set out to make 2016 our most ambitious BCRF campaign to date.

 

We're All In on Research

For 2016’s breast cancer awareness month, we positioned BCRF to go “all in” on research – doubling down on their annual investments by matching donations dollar-for-dollar throughout the month.

With BCRF’s “all in” positioning at the core of our strategy, we created a comprehensive email campaign telling the unfiltered stories of breast cancer researchers, survivors, and fighters.

In addition to featuring the stories of men & women most affected by breast cancer, we highlighted the sobering facts & realities of the disease, emphasizing the integral role that research and support play.

 

The Result

United under BCRF, these voices became a collective powerhouse in the fight against cancer – raising over $500,000 from email donations alone in the month of October, and spurring a massive increase in engagement in 2016.
